Bennie Meyer
Director of CBC Heidelberg
Bennie has worked in the Information Technology industry as a developer for 20 years, but he always knew he was called to ministry. In 2012 he moved with his family to the small town of Heidelberg to attend Charis Bible College while doing IT part time. At the end of his first year in 2012, he became the pastor of the local church, Langeberg Christian Fellowship, and benefitted from the teachings of Charis which equipped him for ministry.
He pastored Langeberg Christian Fellowship for 10 years before joining Charis Bible College as the Dean of Students in 2021. In 2023 he became the Director of Charis Bible College in Heidelberg. Bennie is married to Vicky, and they have 3 beautiful children -Benjamin, Daniel and Joy. His passion is to see people become whole and free by the truth of God’s Word.

Terence is a first year student at Charis Bible College Heidelberg and after just one week his wife sent the following message to the Director “I have a different husband the past few days when I arrive home. Don’t know how to describe it, but God is present! Thank you!” Terence was also baptized in the Holy Spirit and received the gift of speaking in tongues.
Johan is a third year leader who oversees the prison ministry outreach at Buffeljags Prison in Heidelberg. At the last ministry session for the year; they saw such an increase in attendance that they have run out of seats for the students. Some students sat on the floor to join the fellowship meeting. The breakthrough and transformation in these students’ lives have been such an encouragement to the Charis Bible College students who go and minister the Discipleship Evangelism Course at the prisons.
