Bongani Msibi
Director of CBC Durban
Bongani Msibi’s journey with Charis began in 2020 while he served as a fulltime Senior Pastor of Christ Worship Church International in Cape Town, South Africa. He completed his 1st and 2nd year of Charis studying fulltime at Charis Cape Town, and graduated his 3rd Year of Charis in 2022. He also holds a National Diploma in Building Science from the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and an Advanced Diploma in Project Management from Damelin College, South Africa.
After completing his 3rd year, he immediately started serving as the Dean of Students at the Charis Cape Town College and the year after was appointed Director of Charis Bible College Durban where he currently serves. Bongani is married to Lindiwe, and they have 2 lovely children. Bongani’s passion is his love for people, seeing them grow and developing into their God given potential. His favourite topic is the Love of God towards His people with practical application to our daily living and interaction with people.

“My journey to do my 2nd year was very challenging due to finances. I had to trust God all the way. It was never my plan to really study because of my age, but when I started listening to Pastor Andrew, I had the desire to go to Charis. Philippians 4:13 was the scripture that I stood on. I encountered challenges with transport and accommodation, but God had placed people on my path to journey with me in this season. Philippians 4:19 – “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.” I now know that God will never fail me, and being at Charis I can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel. I have so much peace and joy in my heart. The teachings have transformed my heart and mind.”
“Before Charis I was living a defeated life. Even though I was born again, I struggled in every area of my life. I was sick every month and could not identify what was the source of my sickness. I made myself available whenever the body of Christ needed an extra hand in any department, believing that my good deeds brought me closer to God and all I needed to do was to be patient as my reward would be around the corner. I lived with shame and disgrace for years as I had a child outside wedlock. I could not forgive myself. My daughter is now 30 years old and every single day I judged myself for making such a foolish mistake and not looking at what a beautiful young woman she has grown to be. Charis has opened me to God’s love and His righteousness. His mercy and grace. I am living a victorious life because I am forgiven. Amen.”
